Our Autumn 2016 Explorer has just been released, and we’re so proud of the many stories that show our commitment to being Positively Different that we wanted to share the top 10 – check them out!

1. Positively CHALLENGED
360 Access Team Members participated in the Hollywood Walk of Fame Steps Challenge. For every mile walked during the 6-week challenge, Access promised to donate $0.02 to the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation—and we are proud to announce that Team Members walked 92,291 miles, bringing our donation amount to $1,845.82.

2. Painting for Kids in Costa Rica
Access Costa Rica started sponsoring the Orphan House: San Jose earlier this year. As part of their commitment to helping the more than 80 children in residence, the Team organized a house painting party to give the building a much-needed makeover!

3. Positively HEROIC (and Selfless)
Team Members Pam Yemma and Omar Ramirez both helped injured motorists after witnessing traffic collisions and stayed with the victims until emergency responders arrived.

4. Helping Firefighters Help Children
Team NoVA/DC and the U.S. Billing Team joined together to support the Manassas Park Fire Station’s “Fill the Bus” campaign, which collected backpacks and school supplies for children in need. The Team donated ten backpacks filled with school supplies and brought coffee and donuts to the dedicated volunteers at the fire station.

5. Positively ENERGIZED!
Team Oregon held its first ENERGIZED!/TICDA Challenge—with 15 participants logging a total of 3,850,480 steps! Mike Panciarelli came in first place with 361,129 steps, while Randy Lueallen logged the most steps in one week (108,431) and Krista Monaghan logged the most steps over Memorial Day weekend (36,076).

6. Pulling Planes for the Special Olympics
Access Denver took part in the Special Olympics Colorado (SOCO) Plane Pull, meeting their goal of raising $2,970 by pulling a 164,000-pound airplane 12 feet across the tarmac in just over 8.6 seconds!
Mile High Regional Golf Competition
7. Positively IMPRESSED
Five Members of the Access Denver Team also volunteered their time to assist 150 Special Olympics athletes in the 2016 Mile High Regional Golf Competition. They kept score, located balls and picked up a few tips for their own games while helping the athletes.
ARMA scholarship presentation
8. Supporting the RIM Industry’s Future
Access and the ARMA International Educational Foundation (AIEF) joined forces to provide scholarships to actively employed RIM practitioners. The Access Leadership Scholars Endowments —of $6,000 and $2,000 each— were awarded during the ARMA Live Conference to Ruben Vargas and Lisa Padilla, respectively.

9. Positively HEALTHY
Team Brazil promoted a Health Week in all Brazilian branches with seminars, activities, blood pressure and glycemic measurements, as well as visits from an optician and nutritionist.

10. Helping to Feed Those in Need
Team Columbus participated in the Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s Operation Feed Campaign, contributing over 12,600 meals for families struggling to make ends meet.
